Air Fryer Chocolate Protein Syrniki (86 Cal Each)
Nutrition
Syrniki are a classic Eastern European cottage cheese pancake, normally pan-fried with flour and sugar. This version skips both — chocolate protein powder replaces flour as the binder, and the air fryer gives you a golden crust without a drop of oil. Three ingredients, 17 minutes, done.
The dough is sticky, so wet your hands before shaping. Don't overthink the patties — they don't need to be perfect. The air fryer firms them up and creates a satisfying crust that holds everything together. If you liked our Air Fryer Chocolate Protein Brownies, these are the same idea with a completely different texture.
At 86 calories and 15g of protein per syrnik, these hit harder than most protein bars. Eat two as a quick snack or all five as a full dessert for under 430 calories. Use our macro calculator to see how they fit your daily targets.
Ingredients
- 1 cup (250g) fat-free cottage cheese
- 2 scoops (60g) chocolate whey protein powder
- 2 tbsp (12g) unsweetened cocoa powder
- Zero-calorie strawberry sauce, for drizzle
Instructions
-
Step 1: Mix the dough
Combine cottage cheese, protein powder, and cocoa powder in a bowl. Stir until a thick, uniform dough forms.
-
Step 2: Shape the syrniki
Wet your hands and divide the dough into 5 equal portions. Roll each into a ball and flatten into thick patties, about 2 inches (5 cm) wide.
-
Step 3: Air fry
Place patties in the air fryer basket (no oil needed). Cook at 350°F (180°C) for 12 minutes, flipping halfway through. They're done when the outside is firm with a slight crust.
-
Step 4: Drizzle and serve
Transfer to a plate and drizzle with zero-calorie strawberry sauce.
